OK, i was praying and i thought about this right smack in the middle of it so i wanted to rite it down
It has to do with being genuine, so many times in life we do stuff just to get something out of it, wether it be a response to some situation that we make for a laugh, an action that we do for something, whatever it is, the motive is usually to gain something for ourselves.
this is an indication of self centerdness i believe.
If we really want to be a GOD centered person with christ shining thru us, the result would be that we are very genuine. Our comments and actions and what not will be directed towards, NOT what can we do for ourself,
but how we can GLORIFY GOD with the comment or action.
Its my goal to process thoughts like that, before any comment i make or response i have to a situation, i want to think, "how can i glorify GOD in this???" and that will really help clear things up because that NEVER CHANGES. but when i think about how to get glory for myself it changes, it is always different. when im at work and i respond to something and i want glory from it (sounds bad but its the way it works) i may respond in a certian way, but then my response to the same thing at church to get glory from it will probly be different. and different at school probly, and at home. But, if i were to respond to the same smethin in a way to give God the GLORY (not me, how pathetic is that but its what i do) then its gunna be the same response whether im in church, school, home, work, bar, playground and so on and so on.
So i dunno if the way i put that made sense but i think theres some good thoughts and life applications in there..
