well, summer time is finnaly here! pretty dawd gawn exiting, im finnally %100 done with high school which is quite an amazing feeling. Its exciting on so many different levels but at the same time it doesn't feel like i thought it would.. i still feel the exact same as when i was in hs cept now its summer. maybe when i go down to auburn in the fall it will feel a lil different.
I did get to go down to auburn yesterday to go to camp war eagle which sounds super cheezy to me but it was actually pretty fun and informative, i got to meet some new folks and also get my classes scheduled. Chances are im gunna fail next year, i have to take chemistry and calculus and as well as some other random clases. and i have to keep a 3.0 or i loose my scholarship. But i bet i can do it.. assumming my study habbits magically change which im also betting on.
But anyway as far as this summer goes im guna be super busy and its gunna be awesome. Im leaving on sunday to go on a backpacking trip up a 50 mile section of the AT. We will be gone for 5 days then when i get back i dont have any plans until the missions trip which is the 17th so i'll have 17 days to do all kindsa fun adventures with maybe a lil work in between but not to much.. Then im gunna work a pretty good bit in july but on the 13-21 me and my dad are taking a trip to the grand tetons in Wyoming to bike/flyfish/backpack/explore/sightsee. Im so excited about that.. But thats pretty much all the plans for the summer right now, im def gunna post up some pics after my trips and adventures.
On a more serious and sad note, Uncle bob is in his last days right now. He was taken into the emergency room on saturday night because he got very dehydrated and was unresponsive. so at the hospital they filled him up with fluids but also found out he has a blood clot in his leg and he has pneumonia. So they prescribed him with hospice care which is basically care through the dying process. So he came home on Monday i think it was and has been at home with us since. Due to the pneumonia and just old age unc has forgotten how to swallow and if he tries it will actually just go straight into his lungs which is not good and could get infected so he isn't able to eat or drink, and his living will says that he doesnt want to have any water or food put in him unnaturally if he is terminally ill. So as sad as it is he doesnt have much longer with us but it is his time, hes been having a hard time of it for a while now. I just pray that God will have mercy on his soul and that he has genuinely accepted Jesus's work on the cross which will present him as holy and blameless and above reproach before God. (Colossians 1:23). And i believe that unc has.
So anyway, thats basiclly whats goin on right now in my world.. pretty crazy stuff but i am so blessed and thankful for everything.
be on the lookout for some pics of my AT trip next weekend!
Praying for your family, Leo... I know that's really hard...
